So it’s been a while now hasn’t it. I feel like i have not blogged in a long long time. Well here it goes. Today during worship my mom brought up something very interesting. She made a statement about seeking god. She said: Seek God while we can still find him. Now to be honest that struck a note with me because lately I have been going through some difficult Spiritual times. It also struck a note because it made me think about pathfinders. In Romans 13, Paul speaks to the Romans about how time is short. In verse 11 Paul writes: This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armour of right living. 13 Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see... Realizing the times we live in should prompt us to live a different way, act a different way, lead a different way. But sometimes it seems we are still sleep walking, going through the motions of things. Knowing that time is not on our side we should take to heart verses like Matthew 7:7 ; Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7, or 1 Peter where it says: 13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy... However none speak as loudly as JERMIAH 29:13 which says: 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Our pathfinders are our future, and just because they are in the club does not mean they will be in the church always. Let us use this ministry as a way to further equip our young people so that they may be able to anchored in our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
